Oil paintings of Marilyn Monroe
by Ron Keas
"Candle in the Wind"

This new painting was inspired by Elton John's song "Candle in the Wind", which he wrote about Marilyn, and later also dedicated  to Princess Diana.  The painting was done with the technique of over glazing, in which 10 or more layers of translucent oil paint is applied to give depth and translucence to the skintones.

Ron's Marilyn art is featured in the book "Marilyn in Art" by Roger Taylor
